Clif

No Payne, No Gain

A duet between Clif Payne and Freda Payne; they knew they had something special. But at the time Clif could have hardly anticipated the international audience would take the single to their hearts. No Payne, No Gain would go on to dominate international charts. In the UK the single would top soul charts where it remained unchallenged for two weeks ultimately to become the UK's Soul Song of the Year.
